Malaak and Chris Rock Announce Gift at the Opening of The Bushwick Salvation Army Community Center's Newly Transformed Library

With the support of sponsors Target, Dell, PRODUCT (RED), designers Rodney Leon of AARRIS Architects, LLC. and Darius Somers, as well as contractor Ron Baker, the new library offers a beautiful and tranquil space for learning, tutoring, reading, and will ensure that the children have access to the internet. The Rock's, along with The Salvation Army's Major Hood and Captain Lock, and Target's Laysha Ward, also accepted a $1 Million gift to revitalize Salvation Army libraries, media centers and educational facilities at forty divisions across the country.
